Youth for Christ was founded in 1944 and spread like wildfire.  YFC USA's first staff member was a young preacher named Billy Graham.  Since 1945, Fresno/Madera Youth For Christ has been at the forefront of caring for and working with young people in our community. We are a part of YFC USA, as one of 200 chapters, and part of YFC International, active in over 120 countries, helping teenagers find hope and meaning in life.

MISSION OF YFC
YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other likeminded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

As part of the body of Christ, the vision of Youth for Christ is to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and to become part of a local church.

Widespread Prayer
We deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf
of the ministry site.

Loving Relationships
We consistently pursue lost kids and engage them in lifelong relationships with Jesus.

We accurately handle biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives.

Collaborative Community Strategy
We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.
